The Anne Boleyn Files Advent Calendar 2018

Posted By on November 30, 2018

Can you believe that it’s 1st December tomorrow? I can’t. Time is just flying! The good news, though, is that means that the Anne Boleyn Files Advent Calendar starts tomorrow – yay!

I can’t promise little chocolates or plastic toys, BUT I can promise some Tudor treats. Some wonderful historians, authors, bloggers and friends of mine have been so generous in sending me contributions, so we have all kinds of goodies, and they’re all calorie-free. All you have to do, is visit the Anne Boleyn Files each day and click on the cover image at the top of the page or go directly to www.theanneboleynfiles.com/advent2018/. Note: You’ll need to wait until tomorrow though!

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank you for following the Anne Boleyn Files and I hope you have a magical festive season. A big thank you too to all those who have contributed to the calendar and also to good old Techie Tim for enabling it to happen!

By the way, I have another treat for you too – our sister site, the Tudor Society, is having an open weekend from 7th to 9th December. It’s completely free and means that you can have 3 days of Tudor bliss. You can register at www.tudorsociety.com/open-weekend-2018/ and you’ll also receive a free Tudor puzzle book as a thank you.

I’ve said this before and I can’t stress this enough, If you have never seen one of these Advent Calendars please check it out. They are a lot of fun.

I agree I love them and I’m looking forward to being able to access the Tudor Society on the above mentioned days, it is hard to believe we will soon be in December and I recall last year we had a lot of snow, my garden looked so pretty and I took several photos.

Oh yea! Oh yea! Oh yea! Love your advent calanders, Ckaire. We brought an Advent Calendar when we brought our first home, where we still are back in 1996 and we open it every year. It is a charity one and is lovely. It has a mix of social and community and religious scenes. Actually, last year we put it up and the pin refused to come out again 30 days later, so its still up.

Hi Christine, you will enjoy the Tudor Society. I joined after a free weekend, about two years ago and you get a great magazine as well every month to download or there is a magazine only subscription as well. Free books on arrival. Claire does a talk every Friday and we have live chats, which are every couple of weeks, about two a month and we either have an expert or an informal chat. This week we are going to look at the Fall of Kathryn Howard because Claire is writing a book like the one on Anne Boleyn, a countdown to her execution. Her expert talk a few weeks ago was about it and kick off is 11p.m GMT.

I am not being paid to advertise, just raving about it. I am sure you will enjoy it next weekend.

BQ, you are lovely! Thank you so much for your kind words about the Tudor Society and thank you for your wonderful questions and comments at last night’s chat, I so love those chat sessions.
Christine, I hope you enjoy the open weekend. Gareth Russell is always a big hit with our members so he’s doing an expert talk which will go live on Friday on the site and then we have a chat session with him on Saturday night at 11pm. We also have our weekly Friday video talk and lots more to enjoy – phew!
Michael, I hope you can make the chat next week, they’re such fun.

Hi Claire I’m sure I will enjoy the free weekend and I do like Gareth as well so it should be a very enjoyable evening.

Thanks Claire, very kind of you to say, I can’t wait to hear Gareth. I love his book. Yes, I enjoyed the chat, last night, very good from everyone.

Hi Christine. I’ve had the magazine only subscription for the last two years since I don’t have time to take advantage of everything else. The magazine is excellent.

  5. Christine says:

Ooh sounds great looking forward to that.
